Valentino Rossi surprised by new Yamaha 1000 pace

Rossi表示對昨天Brno測試中Yamaha新1000cc賽車的表現相當驚訝。
昨天他只針對目前的GP11.1評估幾何和重量分佈變化，並沒有在Brno測試中騎1000cc的GP12進行測試，他對山葉的速度印象深刻。

“對我而言讓我驚訝的是山葉，因為 Lorenzo和Spies從第一次出來就騎著它跑得非常快，(看來)車子抵達時已準備好了，跟本田比起來沒有差很遠，(本田和山葉的1000cc差距)在這條賽道看起來更接近，我已知道本田和山葉會有競爭力，現在我們必須抵達(趕上)。“
"For me the surprise is the Yamaha because it is very fast with Lorenzo and Spies from the first exit. When the bike has arrived it is ready and they are not so far from the Honda. It looks like they are closer than with the 800 in this track. I already know that Honda and Yamaha are competitive and now we have to arrive."

下個月初羅西將在Misano賽後進行為期一天的GP12測試，不過他說他不並擔心Honda和Yamaha現在展現出來的速度。
“我們的引擎相當快，不過我們在剩餘部份有更多問題，這會是難以確定，因為本田和山葉已經非常快了，不過我們會盡力而為。”
He added: "Our engine is quite fast but the problem we have is more on the rest. It will be hard for sure because already the Honda and Yamaha is very fast, but we will try."

220mph MotoGP bikes not dangerously fast, say Rossi and Stoner 　

　　Valentino Rossi 和 Casey Stoner 估計新一代1000cc的極速會接近220英里，不過並不會讓MotoGP變得太危險。
在初次品嘗山葉新1000cc賽車後，Jorge Lorenzo他預期在一些高速賽道的長直道，像是卡達，Mugello和Catalunya的極速可能會達到350公里(217英里）。
　　之前舊的990cc四行程在07年改成現行的800cc，其原因就是擔心極速已達到會造成危險的水準，在有些賽道會有太多車輛參賽(應是指外卡)。
但排氣量較小的800卻難以提升安全性，這不僅是因為彎道的速度更高，且因為大多數比賽事故就發生在彎道之中。
　　
　　MCN訪問九次世界冠軍對Rossi對於明年1000cc潛在極速的看法。Rossi在今年賽季初曾於Mugello測試過Ducati的GP12，他預估新1000cc在高速賽道依舊會很快。

“真他X的快，我在Mugello試車時，當我跑完直路底我在笑。非常快，不過我認為這OK，也許我們很接近350的極限，不過並沒有發生太大變化，有更多變化的是在彎道的加速。“
"It is f*****g fast. When I try the bike in Mugello, when I arrived at the end of the straight I was laughing. It is very fast but I think it is ok. Maybe we are close to the limit at 350 but it doesn’t change very much. What changes more is the acceleration from the corners."

Stoner也對MotoGP賽車極速將超過210英里表示ok.
官方記載800cc最高極速紀錄，是2009年Pedrosa在Mugello所創下的，當時RC212V跑出驚人的時速349.288公里（217.03英里）。
990cc有史以來最高極速(非官方)是2004年Loris Capirossi(Ducati)在Ctalunya冬季測試中跑出的215.86英里。

Stoner:
“為什麼極速太多了？這是過去的理論，有太多的速度就太危險，這不是真的，實際上800cc比1000更危險。
你必須在更高速狀態下提早煞車，而我認為這不會更危險，我們應該能達到350kph，我們已從990cc之中取得進展，不過因為新的燃油規則，這也許會有點小困難，不過感覺動力的功率我們應該能跑出350kph，或者更多，這會很有意思。“
"Why is high speed too much? This was the theory in the past that there was too much speed and it was too dangerous. That’s not the truth. With 800s in fact it is more dangerous to arrive in the wall than with a 1000. You have to brake earlier with the higher speed and I think it is definitely not more dangerous. We should be able to arrive at 350kph. We’ve progressed from where we were with the 990s but with the new fuel regulations maybe this is a little bit more difficult. But feeling the way the power is we should arrive at 350kph and maybe more. This would be interesting."
